Utah Valley Parade of Homes

Recently, my friend Emmali had the brilliant idea that we should get tickets for the Utah Valley Parade of Homes. The Parade of Homes is held every year, usually around the start of the summer. If you have never been before, I highly recommend giving it a go next year! (And don’t worry if you don’t live in Utah – the Parade of Homes is held in cities all across the US.)

The Parade of Homes runs for a couple weeks. Sadly we didn’t get our tickets until the final weekend, so we only made it to 7 of the 40+ homes. But the ones we did get to see were truly AMAZING!

With each house we entered, I was convinced that “this is my absolute favorite,” only to think the exact same thing at the next house! Each house had unique things that I loved and have added to the list of features to be included in my dream home.

Here are a few of my favorites:

  1. This Music Room…

I would have been way more dedicated to practicing the piano when I was younger if we had a room like this. I couldn’t decide what was my favorite thing about this room – the mismatched furniture or the exposed brick. I also love the mini stage in the corner. My siblings and I would have made great use of a room like this with all of the musical and theatrical performances our parents were forced to watch over the years!

2. These Bedrooms…

I loved the wallpaper in this room; I thought it really went well with the pink accents. Also, it is hard to see in the photo, but I loved the script poster on the wall – I saw similar decor in many of the homes we walked through.

If you have been on Pinterest, you have probably seen pins with similar beds. I just love this idea. What a fun way to do bunkbeds. I love the idea of having this as a room for sleepovers!

3. This Stove…

The second I saw this, I just about died. I wanted to start cooking something immediately. The water tap right there above the stove was an added bonus – no need to carry pans of water across the kitchen! I wish I had gotten photos of the rest of the kitchen, but unfortunately my phone died.

4. This Office…

The second we pulled up to this house, I had a feeling I would love this room, and when we got inside my suspicions proved correct. This office was beautiful. It was so organized and the lighting was perfection! I am also a huge fan of glass-top desks.

5. This Entire House…

Honestly, I just wanted to move in and never leave this house. I loved everything about this home. At first glance it doesn’t look like much, but the details in the house were incredible. I loved all of the natural light and the clean feel of everything in this house. I had a couple of favorite things in this house. First was the master bedroom. Instead of having the master bedroom on the ground floor, the master bedroom was an upstairs loft! It was incredible. Second was the backyard – my mind was buzzing with planning all of the fun parties and events you could have out there. Lastly was the laundry room. Again, I was dazzled by all the windows and natural lighting!

We had such a fun time hanging out and walking through all of these beautiful homes. Thank you, Emmali, for inviting me and for lending me your phone to get photos after mine died!
